The 'Special' card

Every year I have to make a 'Special' card for my in-laws...they expect their own unique card that is different from the rest and unique only to them...so here is their card for this year...

 I used Baja Breeze paper and embossed the Lovely as a Tree stamp set in white. Then embossed the words in Iridescent Ice with the Wonderful Words stamp set and my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I also stamped snowflakes in Champagne frost in the background using the Serene Snowflake stamp set...hope they like it!! What do you think?   Lynda

PS. The girls in the office and I are off to NYC shopping for the weekend...I am so excited to say the least. This will be my third time to NYC but never at Christmas time and I have always wanted to go at Christmas time, especially since I am a huge Christmas person. One of the things on my 'bucket list' is to skate at Rockefeller Center with the tree and all!! So I am hoping that tomorrow night that is what I will be doing :) !!! I will have some pictures to share next week of that beautiful 72 foot tree with 30,000 lights on it...I pity the poor soles who have to put those on!! Have a great weekend everyone!  Lynda

Christmas Card

Happy Thursday everyone!  Well I just want to say that I had so much fun with our contest and reading all the wonderful comments that everyone left even if they were right or wrong.....I really can't wait till we have another contest.  Congratulations to Judith and Wendy our winners!  I have been able to make so many different cards over the month and I can't wait to show them all to you.  With Christmas just around the corner I really haven't had much of a chance to make cards this week and I'm really missing it so hopefully I get to sneak in a night of "Mom stamping" but with so many things that need to get done I don't know how that will work.   Today's card that I'm posting is from the stamp  set Medallion and I just love this stamp because it's just so easy to work with and you can make so many different cards with it. Hope you like my card.  Before I go I just wanted to wish my sister Theresa a very Happy Birthday and hope she has a wonderful day.  Tammy  

Gift Ideas!

I needed to put together some of my stuff for a door prize for my Grad Student's Christmas Party this weekend. And I thought what a great gift idea or hostess gift!! So, if anyone needs a gift idea or would like me to put one together for them let me know and I'm sure I can put any size and price range gift together!

In this basket I have included 4 tiles/coasters, I gift bag, 5 cards, and 6 gift tags for a $40 gift basket. They could be made for any price range or size. Well Tammy and I had fun with this contest and we hope you all did too. Most importantly we hope you all continue to use the 'Comments' button now on our Blog and continue to visit us frequently!! Besides, it's a great way to see what we are up to in the Stamping World and an especially great way to see some Stamping samples, techniques, products and Specials - we all love Specials!!

Day 3 - Lynda's Card - Elf Punch card - a very finicky card!!

Day 4 - Tammy's card - this one fooled you all - well almost all of except Judith! This grey and pink Medallion card. Very nice card indeed!!!

Day 5 - Tammy's card - Grass and Butterfly - Lynda doesn't own this set...keep thinking about it but never bought it...

Day 6 - Lynda's card - Big Shot tag incorporated into a card - have been wanting to do this ever since I saw Joanne do this on a card.

Day 7- Tammy's card - Patterned Pines - could be my card - very much my style but funny thing is I own this set and have not used it yet on a card...just on tiles. Very pretty card Tammy, I just might case this one!

Day 8 - Lynda's card - Got you on this one Judith...I have been wanting to make this card ever since I saw a card using the 'flocked paper' with the ornament punch. Then I was so excited about using the Heat and Stick powder with the Red Glitter, especially when it turned out perfect (if I do say so myself). You got to try this! It is a fabulous look!!

So enough details...we had a tie, which is why we planned on 2 prizes. The two winners are...Judith Storey and Wendy Malarek!! Congratulations ladies!! And good detective work!! I will contact you both to sort out your prizes!

Shopping all weekend!!!

Hello everyone.  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I had a great weekend as I was shopping all weekend long in the U.S.A.  We left on Friday morning heading for the states and went shopping that night then on Sat we started at 10 a.m. and didn't finish until 10 pm that night so it was a very long day and we literally shopped until we dropped.  This morning we went back to a few stores and I finally got home around 4 p.m. this evening.  Had a wonderful time with my great friend Tara, her mother and her mother's friend.  So I want to tell you the best part about the trip and that is I actually wrapped most of what I bought over the weekend this evening and I feel fantastic about that.  I learned the hard way one year when I left all the wrapping until Christmas eve and was up till about 4 a.m.  I was not a happy person and was a little grumpy for Christmas morning.  I already feel stress free because I have got so much accomplished and it's not even December yet.  Hooray!  Well it's time to get to sleep as I need to go to work tomorrow.  Tonight I'm posting a card that I made from the Sparkly and Bright stamp set.  It's a cute card and I hope you like it.  Have a wonderful week.  Tammy
