Well for us Convention 2010 is now over...but Tammy, Joanne and I had an absolute blast!! We learned a ton and have a pile of ideas to take home with us. Our minds are overwhelmed and we couldn't be happier!! On Friday Joanne and myself were treated to a special breakfast with Shelli Gardner (CEO, Owner), along with a few hundred or so others.
Why? Because we successfully recruited and participated on the Recruit Crew. Shelli was standing beside me and adressing the crowd.
We had a busy day of classes and finally some free time so we took off to the Gateway Mall (yes!) which is also known as the Salt Lake Olympic Palace (home of the 2002 Olympic Winter games).
Tammy in class...LOL...working hard!! Way to go Tammy!!
Gateway Shopping Mall - outdoor mall, so beautiful!
Great shopping there and great food! Also very hot. They had misters going off over us to help keep us cool...over 35 C at 5pm as we arrived for dinner...
On Saturday, the last day of Convention, it was a National Holiday here in the State of Utah - called Pioneer Day, the day the State became a State and they celebrate it with a big parade!!
People apparently camp out over night to get a good spot on the street to see the floats...well when we walked out of the hotel first thing in the morning, the floats were right out on our street all lined up to go into the parade!
So we got to walk up and down the street and get a close-up of all the floats! So cool and some were so amazing!!
Well then off to work...it was an amazing day at convention...many announcements and prizes!! Stampin`Up gave away 10 trips to the Incentive Trip to Alaska for anyone who recruited this year (and I was in that draw, but didn`t win) but I did win something...they gave away fabric sample kits, stamping kits, Christmas aprons, and so much more!! So want to know what I won? Well I won Prize Patrol...an Alphabet Stamp set and Rhinestone Jewels!! Cool eh? It was a Prize Patrol gift. But what was even cooler was Stampin`Up! gave everyone, that`s 2800 people, a gift pack of the level 2 Hostess Christmas Stamp set, a Cherry Cobbler ink pad, Champagne Glass Glitter, and Deck the Halls DSP.
The crowd of 2800 has just received their FREE Christmas bundle!!
Sample Card you can make from our Bundle Gift!
Amazing!!!! It has been an awesome trip as we start to pack for our very early morning flight home tomorrow (Sunday)...I have a few days at home, then off again for a few days with Wayne and the kids to Sauble Beach...then I will be back home and raring to go with class ideas, a newsletter to work on and an order to send in!!! Thanks Everyone for checking in on our blog and for your comments!! Lynda and Tammy
