White Swan

Are you enjoying the awesome weather we are getting?  Looks like it will be here for a bit.  I can't believe that I didn't have anytime to get a Stampin Up scrapbook done before the sale ends tomorrow......  not impressed but what can you do?  Kids are taking priority right now, so I guess I'll just have to wait until I find some free time.  My post today is a picture of a beautiful white swan that has made a nest and she is laying in it.  I wish she was turned my way so that I could have seen her face when taking this picture.  There are two swans down by the beach and I want to go back to take a few more pictures of them.  Tammy

On-the-green for Father's Day

Here's another card we made at my Masculine Card's stamp-and-stack on Friday night. I always like to make a black and white card at my Male Card classes, so this was the one I chose! I used the stamp set, 'On-the-green, than I added the white 5/16 brad and added some Crystal Effects to the brad to make it look rounder...? I think it works...??

Anyhow, off to do some errands today! I want to be home for phone calls (hopefully to hear back about my interviews) but I think the phone has a better chance at ringing if I'm not here...Murphy's Law!

40th Birthday Card

As promised I'm back.......what a weekend the kids had.  Both kids had baseball practice and tryouts for the All-Star teams yesterday so all day was spent at the baseball diamonds.  Today was hockey, baseball practice and then off to gymnastics for 3 hours tonight.  This is only the beginning to the busy summer the kids will have but I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

Sail Away with a vintage twist...

Another quick post today...I had the craziest, busiest day of my life yesterday...it turned into 3 job interviews, which went very well plus my All Male Cards Stamp and Stack was last night to a full house of 10 fun, great ladies! So an amazing and wonderful day it was...but I was glad when it was over about 10pm last night and I could sit down and relax!

Here is one of the cards we made last night. It seemed to be a favourite of the group! I used the new Nautical DSP - got to have this new paper. Just fabulous colour combos in the paper! This card has Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand. The Baker's Twine, in Cherry Cobbler, is so soft to touch and wonderful to use. Some Sunny Fun!

We could use some more 'Sunny Fun'! Yes the sun is lacking lately but not this card!! I love this card my downline, Linda B made! It is so cute and filled with so many great ideas! The sand (Sahara Sand cardstock with dazzling diamonds), the scallop punch for waves and she also embossed the middle sandals in green! Just love it! Great card Linda!

The Open Sea

Happy Thursday everyone!  Well for a short week it still seems long......   Today, I'm posting my swap card that I had made for our downline meeting on Tuesday night which I wasn't able to attend as my daughter was sick.  I hope you like my card girls and can't wait to see yours.  I used the stamp set "The Open Sea" and it's a great set to use for Father's Day, Birthday or just a special card.   Have a great day everyone.  Tammy

More Paisley Prints DSP ideas

Last night I had my Downline meeting and even though it seemed everyone was fanning off sick, the small group that did attend and I, had a great time catching up! So thanks to those who showed up!! I love the ladies in my Downline and I am so lucky to have them as they have become some of my good friends! That is one of the best parts of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, meeting such wonderful people and creating such deep and caring friendships. Honestly it is so special and amazing how being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has changed my life! If I never did this there are a ton of people I would not have met or welcomed into my life and I think how lucky I am to have all these wonderful ladies!! Ok so today's post is the gift I gave my group last night...we did a card swap and all my cards were different and as they were passed around I told them to pick out the card they liked. Once they had done that, I handed them the rest of the set, a matching New Paisley Prints Purse with 3 more matching cards and envelopes made with the NEW Paisley Prints DSP coming in the new 2011-2012 IBC. This is a fun set to make and I saw the purse design on Amy Celona's website, so I can't take any create for the purse. I did design the card and did watercolour ALL the cards myself!!! Crazy lady I am!! But I do love to watercolour...just maybe not that much...especially of the same thing...LOL!

BINGO BITS

Yes, Lynda was right I forgot to post the other day.....actually I didn't even go on the computer all weekend long as I was busy with spring cleaning.  This is the first weekend in a long time that the kids didn't have some event taking place on the weekend so it was off to cleaning as the next few weeks will be busy.  Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and the weather was amazing......   Have a great day!  Tammy

Textured Impressions

I had an extra 'Textured Impressions' embossing folder pastel sample (lightly rubbed pastels over the raised embossed parts) left over from my Stamper's Technique class - it was the one I demonstrated so I decided to make it into a card the other day...and again I went to my bin where I have cardstock or scraps of things I had intended to use for cards and changed my mind and came across this gate folded card that was perfect for my idea...

I put a piece of Regal Rose ribbon behind the image with sticky strip so that the right side piece matched up with the left side but also acted like a tab to open the card (see in fig. 2). I added some of the NEW Paisley Prints DSP on the outside then matched it up on the inside...Inside I used a stamp from the 'Word Play' stamp set that is 30% off until May 31st! This is a GREAT deal!
