Field Flowers

So life continues to be a crazy ride...lots of things going on in my life...and my stampin' life is getting very busy...I noticed that I have 7 events on my Stamping schedule in the next 2 weeks! Yikes!

Here is a card we are making at my Card Club tomorrow night...it is made using the stamp set Field Flowers. The colours are Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush stamped onto Confetti white paper.

Snow Much Fun...Shaker Tag!

All Stampin' Up Demonstrators know this is one of our busiest times of year and we love it! So for me to be just starting a full-time job and going crazy with my Stamping Business is just exhausting!!

I had my first (of two) Advent classes last night and it was great! But they are lots of work and the class can run a long time...almost 4 hours!

I am posting one of the Tags I am offering in my Tags and Gift Card class on the 23rd of November...it is a shaker tag...'Snow Much Fun' is the stamp set and so cute!

Delightful Decorations

So I am pretty psyched! I added 2 more demonstrators to my Designer Stamp Purrs Team today!! Welcome Debbie and Liz! They are both very excited too especially getting their new Big Shots!!

Today's card was one we made at our Christmas Card Club the other night...a very simple yet elegant card using the stamp set Delightful Decorations. I also incorporated the Northern Flurry embossing folder, spritzed it with the Pearlized Paint (mixed with rubbing alcohol)...Cherry Cobbler ink and jewels were also used on the ornaments...

Bright Hopes is golden!

Ok a quick post as I am oh so tired today...I have my 3rd Christmas Card Class tomorrow night and we will have made 36 Christmas Cards by the end of Class tomorrow night! These ladies will be so well prepared for the Holiday Season!

All the cards we are making are all cases from fellow demonstrators...just no time lately to be inspired or creative...so busy!! I found this BEAUTIFUL card on our demonstrator website and fell in love with it...it just might have to be my family card this year...Cherry Cobbler is my favourite red!

Basic Grey and Cherry Cobbler...who'd of thought? Gorgeous!!

Festive and Fun and BLOG CANDY!

What a week...well I started my new job and I am still trying to get over pneumonia, so it's been a challenge and to say I'm exhausted is an understatement...I'm the type of person that can handle a great deal of pressure, many projects (personally the more the merrier) and requires little sleep...but this week has really tested me...but mostly because I've been sick and because of the major lifestyle change. My job has caused some major lifestyle changes to my family where I am not around for them when they had always relied on me...like in the morning and at dinner time and this is because of the commute to my job which is an hour each way. So everyone (husband included ;) is having to adjust and it's interesting...but after having cereal for dinner the first night (because I was too tired to cook), he made dinner the remaining nights! So change is good...I'll keep you posted!!!

So having said all that, you can guess I have not had much time...none at all in my stamping room this week...yikes! So I am posting one of my favourite swaps from Kathy Howes (I hope this is right because one of my friends has this card right now)...I don't have this set and every time I look at this card, it makes me want to get it...that's the power of an amazing card!!!

Christmas Gift Cards and Tags Class

(Make 2 each of the 4 Decorative Tags on left and one each of the 4 Gift Card Holders on right)

 Come out and make 8 Special Decorative Tags and 4 Gift Card Holders including, a 'Magic Gift Card' and a 'Shaker Tag'.

 

This is a fun and essential class this Holiday season.

Your special gifts will need a show stopper tag and we all need gift card holders.

You will make 2 each of 4 different designs of the Decorative Tags and one each of the Gift Card Holders. Each person will also receive a bottle of the NEW Dazzling Details for registering!

More Snow Much Fun...

A quick post as I'm just getting ready for my first day back to work after being off for nearly 18 months! It will be weird not seeing the kids off to school than jumping onto my computer to see what's up in the world of stamping...I will surely miss that! I have enjoyed my time at home and being able to stamp full-time was a blast but a more substantial full-time income was needed with 3 kids and one in college.

I hope to continue my stamping business at the level I have built it to over these past 18 months...it has definitely grown and I am very pleased at my recent success! But it is certainly going to be a challenge doing both but I am definitely going to try!!

This is a card we made at Heather Summer's Demonstrator's day a few weeks ago...I really like this one because I love this chunky snowman!

Studio Sketches

Well I am starting to improve...still sleeping and coughing a lot but hopefully I am on the other side of this pneumonia thing! I have really missed my stamping room and I have a lot of catching up to do...but I did get some computer work done, while spending time lying in bed.

So today I made it down to my stamping room and prepared for my Watercolour class tomorrow. We will be working with markers and our aqua painters...my favourite way to watercolour!! And of course we are using the easiest stamp set to work with when water-colouring...Studio Sketches. This is the stamp set I demonstrated with at last year's Hamilton Regional's when I did my Workshop Wow on water-colouring with markers...I changed up the colours and used Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Chocolate Chip. I added the Spice Cake DSP and a little In Colour Brad to add some bling interest...

Ok so off to rest a bit more and then try to do some more stamping again tomorrow and then Wednesday is the big day...I start my NEW JOB! So excited!! But sad I won't be home to stamp and be here for my stamping friends during the day...oh well life changes :)

Bliss using MDS!

So I went ahead with my Stamping Technique class last night...crazy I know BUT I made it really easy...we made Simply Sent cards...perfect since it was the Special this month...buy 2 kits, get the stamp set FREE and I quickly showed them how to make a hybrid card using MDS...this is my MDS Hybrid card (a card made on My Digital Studio, printed either through Stampin' Up!'s print services or at home - in my case I printed at home, and then further embellished).

So I trimed down the image then framed it with Concord Crush card stock, then again with River Rock card stock...added some pearl jewels and I was done...it was very easy and I think a pretty card! This is a great way to make cards if you had to make many of them at once!! I was pleased at how the colours came true when I printed them! I do have a good HP printer! I love my MDS!!! It's a fabulous product and I highly recommend investing in it for many reasons...digital scrapbooking, card making, journal making, gift tags, wedding invitations and SO MUCH MORE!!!
