Lovely as a Tree

So who doesn't Love this set? It is my Favourite set for sure and the one set I recommend all my down line to buy. Why? Well it can be used for Christmas cards, Sympathy cards, any kind of card even Masculine cards like I have used here...

I will NEVER part with this set even when it does retire, which I hope is never does!

This is a quick post as I have been up very late every night this week getting ready for my Vendor Showcase this Saturday at Valley Park. SUPER excited about it!! Hope you can stop by if you live in the area...lots to do for families - BarBQ, Kid's activities etc.

I have made 50 petite purses to hand out so far to those who complete a Door Prize form...the other 50 we are going to make there to draw attention to our table so people can see how easy it is to make them - even let them make one if they want!

Up In The Air...

Yesterday Kendall was in the City's track and field meet and did awesome! Of course I could not make it as I was working but she told me all about it when I arrived home...she finished second in her heat for the 200M race and qualified for the final race where she placed 4th in the City in that race! Way to go SPEEDY! Kendall also ran in a 100M medley and her team did well in that race as well (sorry I don't remember where they finished - bad mom!)...just proud of her individual race! She is a great all around athlete and person. We are continuously proud of her accomplishments everyday! She took one picture so I will get it off of her later and post it soon!

So I am taking on of Ronda Wade's fabulous conference call courses and I am learning a ton! If you can ever take one of her classes, I highly recommend you do! She is so inspiring and motivating!

So one of the things we had to do was make 25 Thank You cards for a project...so here are the cards I made using the now retired 'Up In The Air' stamp set...it was a good way to use up some of my retiring items...

Papaya Collage

Busy day today...preparing all day for my Mystery Night tomorrow...May 28th! Lots of good deals on stamp sets, retiring accessories, free gifts, awesome door prizes! Thanks to my awesome daughter Kendall for helping me today...she is only 12 1/4 and she can't wait to be a Demonstrator - I call her my assistant and pay her well ;) - seriously I do...she's so sweet though she sometimes declines the money because she likes helping me so much...but I always insist because she is so helpful! Her twin brother, Skyler will often help too, but only when he wants some money...LOL!

So since I got so much done, I was able to start working on my Wednesday Occasions class - this week's theme is suppose to be 'Wedding  Cards' but I wanted them to see and play with all the new stuff instead! I think this card could be used as a wedding card...what do you think?

Well I have decided to give myself a deadline...new Blog design by June 1st? Gosh I am going to try!! Summer Smooches goes Masculine?

Kendall and I took my wonderful step-mother Mary to have her toe nails painted tonight to celebrate! My step-mother received wonderful news last week that her cancer had gone into remission and my whole family couldn't be more thrilled!

Mary doesn't venture too much on the wild side and had her toes painted a lovely shade of burgundy which is pretty daring for her. It's a UV gel so it will last her a long time (a couple of months I'm told). And because Kendall has been helping me out with my classes a lot lately I treated her too and she picked out this lovely colour...

So I have been getting ready for my All Masculine Card Class, June 6th and was thrilled with the Summer Smooches DSP - even though it has flowers and bright colours on one side, it has solid geometric colours on the other which allows for me to use it in my Masculine birthday card. I also used the Mouthwatering stamp set with the scented embossing powder of course - guess which scent?

Beautiful long weekend!

We have all been enjoying the weather this long weekend here in southern Ontario! We opened our pool and have finished all the gardening. It's been in the 70's and even the 80's this weekend and only sunshine, just amazing! 

So needless to say, I have not done any stamping.  So I thought I'd share my garden with you instead until I can get to my stamping room later today. 

Hedges trimmed and my Bridal Spieria is almost in full bloom. 

 

This shot doesn't show very much except for my dog Buddy. All our pots and annuals are behind on the flagstone patio.I need another picture I guess.

Fifth Avenue, had to be one of my favourites

Well Kendall did amazing yesterday at her 2.5 Km Cross Country meet! She finished 12th out of over 300 girls from all across the City in her race. Wow 12 out of over 300 girls! She is only in grade 6 so I told her she will do even more awesome next year!! So proud of her!

Well I had my All Occasion Class last night and the theme was retiring stamp sets...one of my favourite retiring stamp sets has to be Fifth Avenue (and I'm not sure if I will part with this one)...I used Blushing Bride,  Pear Pizzazz (both retiring) and Early Espresso in this card.

The brad I used is also retiring, along with the Pear Pizzazz scallop dots ribbon...oh so much stuff that I will miss!

D is for Dog...so hard to say goodbye to...

So Kendall, my daughter is off to the City's cross country track meet today and I swear every year it rains on them!! Well I am hoping it's not too bad for them and I wish her luck as she is a very fast runner...I'll report her happenings tomorrow!

This is also one of Kendall's favourite stamp sets, so I probably won't part with this one, 'D is for Dog'. We both LOVE animals especially dogs! I am going to be sending this card to my Vet as our dog Buddy just had his yearly check-up and our Vet is so good to him. Buddy loves going to the Vet...not sure why, maybe the treats they give him, but he is one of the few dogs, she says, that reacts that way!

Not only is the stamp set retiring, but so is this punch, Heart to Heart and of course the colour I used is Poppy Parade (also retiring) with Basic Grey.  Hope you like the card!
