So what's neat about this technique? It's not new, it's actually years old but it's the new variation on the technique that's fun...in my card I have combined the old and new techniques together...
let me explain...I stamped the images in white craft ink on black card stock (it must be black) and rubbed in, with my finger, coloured chalks into the craft ink...which makes them look like chalked images - previous to this we used Versa Mark which you can use too but you don't get a sharp chalk image...the key is to use some BLACK chalk around the edges of the images and on spots to make the images less perfect (New). When done with the chalk brush or blow off any excess. Then sponge lightly with the White Craft ink around the edges and rub spots on the black card stock as if it is a black board with chalk dust on it...but go lightly and practice on the back of this piece before you do it to your good piece...
I realize this is a retired stamp set but it is one of my favs and the one that was demonstrated in the video I watched on this technique and I really wanted to use it also...
